Boxes

We had a ton of boxes left over after Christmas. Georgia had a great ide to make a house for Max, the Grinch's dog. Georgia thought he might like a purple house with a pink sign.

Santa Was Here

It was a very exciting year as it was the first year that Georgia really understood Christmas and Santa. She had made cookies with Grammy Kelsa and Grampa Jack earlier that week. She set those out with some chocolate milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. We were so excited to see her reaction that we were up for almost an HOUR before she woke up! She loved her presents especially the silver sled and flip flops she had asked C.Cobb elf to report to Santa that she wanted. P once again preferred the wrapping paper but also liked her new GDiapers (and reusable inserts) and her hand carved zoo animal set. Mama and Dada did not do too shabby either...Santa left Dada an iphone and left Mama a Wii and WiiFit!

Santa visited Grammy Kelsa and Grampa Jack's house too! Georgia got lots of fun toys including a dress up chest of clothes, books, a double stroller just like Mama's, and lots of outfits for Zoe. Penelope received tons of new clothes and a few new toys too. Best of all, Grampa Jack got the Guitar Hero band set which entertained us all day. It is such a fun game with 2 guitars, a drum set, and a microphone so we can all play together. Even Georgia got in on the action with her own guitar.

Christmas Eve

Georgia opened her "traditional" Christmas Eve PJs. They were a matching set to her baby Zoe's PJs. She was SO excited she had to put them on immediately (and we had packed up Zoe and her PJs too). Penelope also got a set of PJs but didn't seem as excited about the PJs as she was about the wrapping paper....

A Big Girl!

My baby is no longer a little baby. She loves sitting and playing with her toys (though she will suddenly decide she is done and lie down, hence the boppy behind her to protect her from hitting her head). She loves to be on the ground rolling around (she doesn't crawl but can roll really fast and get anywhere she wants). She is getting close to crawling but has no place in our house (all hardwoods) where she can get much traction. Maybe a new living room carpet is in our future?

Jubilee

Georgia had her Holiday Jubilee at school. She was so excited she woke up at 4:30 am that morning. She loved wearing her party dress, giving her teachers gifts (including a to-die-for Chocolate Banana Chocolate Chip Bread), and having us visiting her school for the morning. The children in her class had decorated the room with a fake fireplace and stockings, wreaths, and reindeer. They had also each made their parents a present. Georgia did not, however, want to participate in the show despite her teacher claiming she was the "star" of all the rehersals...admittedly the room was packed and utter chaos! Penelope loved seeing her big sister at school and couldn't stop waving Georgia in an attempt to get her attention. Georgia did decide to participate (minimally) in the last song, "Frosty the Snowman" but refused to face our camera. Oh well, maybe next year!

Cousin Claire

Aunt Mimi (Miles' sister), Uncle Joey, and Claire came to visit us. We haven't seen them since last Christmas when we went down to Virginia Beach to see them. Unfortunately, it was SO cold the whole time they were here that we didn't get to spend much time out and about but we had a great time at home making cookies and playing. We did get out once to visit Grampa Jack and Grammie Kelsa. They had a small patch of snow left on their hill that Claire and Georgia had a blast sledding down. We had such a great visit and can't wait to see them again!

P.S. I was really bad about taking pictures that weekend but if Mimi sends me some I will post them!

Elf

Santa sent Georgia an elf to watch over her and report back to him daily on her behavior leading up to Christmas. Georgia decided to name her elf "C Cobb". As is C is the first letter in Cobb. I was rooting for Barnaby but lost out. Anyways, elf landed in a new spot each morning. Georgia thought it was so much fun to wake up every morning and find where elf was. One morning he landed on the chandelier!

Santa Parade Take 3

Our third, last, and best Santa parade yet! The Merrimac Santa parade was FABULOUS with lots of fun floats, bands, and characters for the little kids! Uncle Erich's mother, Jeanne, had us over for a fun lunch afterwards and Georgia's first viewing of Toy Story.

Santa Parade Part 2

Only in Newburyport does Santa arrive to the parade by boat! Mr. and Mrs. Claus get escorted in to town by the Coast Guard.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thankgiving relaxing with family and eating a delicious meal. Well, the adults and P did. P enjoyed some turkey, mashed potatoes, a roll, and green beans. Georgia, our little vegetarian, opted for peanut butter and jelly instead! She did, however, partake in dessert and some yummy brownie pie!

The Gingerbread House

We went to the Haverhill Santa Day Parade on Sunday. Kristen and Brendan had a great party before and after the parade. Before we left, Georgia got the chance to work on her first ever gingerbread house. She had so much fun putting on the candy and frosting. Grampa Jack and Grammy Kelsa got in on it too. Poor P wanted to but was sadly left out this year...
