Gardener's Crack

Plumbers aren't the only ones to show a lot of crack. Gardners can too...

Happy 1st Birthday Penelope!

I can't believe it was a year ago that our Lil P joined our family. She is such a loving happy baby and our lives are better for her being a part of it. We love our baby girl and can't wait to see the little person she is becoming. We celebrated her birthday by going to the doctors and getting 2 shots (she did great). She is still a peanut but is short so her weight is appropriate for her height! She just barely hit 19lbs (and I STUFFED her with food before she went...so really I cheated and she is probably high 18lbs). We did a bit of shopping and then Grammy Kelsa and Grampa Jack came over for pizza and cupcakes. She got a few little presents today, her favorite being her monkey snuggler and a plastic doll (that was originally for Georgia to open). This girls LOVES babies!

We got her pizza...her favorite!
How big is Penelope...SO big!

A Visitor

Grammy Dianne came out from Arizona for a visit. We had a great weekend filled with gorgeous weather and many playground trips. We took Grammy for a traditional New England seafood dinner at Woodman's. We had a great time. Penelope was very entertained by the crayons we brought for her sister. She loves to scribble! Unfortunately, I was bad about pictures but will hopefully soon add some of the ones that Grammy Dianne took while she was here.

Chocolate Chip Pudding

We made a perennial Camp Huckins' favorite for dessert...chocolate chip pudding. Everyone enjoyed...including a relaxed Penelope...feet on the table and all!

Picnic Lunch

Georgia had a great day to have an indoor picnic on an otherwise dreary and rainy day. We had a great time setting up in the livingroom to enjoy our lunch.

Baby Schlitt

Auntie Em and Uncle Erich are having a baby! Baby Boy Schlitt is due to arrive on their 1st anniversary in mid-June. We are so excited and had a great time at her shower. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the mama-to-be as I was busy being the hostest with the mostest!

Welcome Back!

We are excited to announce we have welcomed DAIRY back into our life! Penelope had a cow's milk protein and soy protein allergy and we were told that once she was a year we could try introducing it back into her diet. Since I am nursing, I started at about 10.5 months to slowly incorporate it into my diet and she did great. Now she is eating small amounts of cheese and yogurt. She LOVES macaroni and cheese...who doesn't??? Oh that is right...the picky 3 year old!

Pasketti and Meatballs

Our very talented neighbor made these spaghetti and meatball cupcakes for us! So yummy and so creative!

Toys

Who needs toys when you have an outlet plug to remove and a carbon monoxide detector to set off?

Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny came to visit our house. Georgia was so excited to get her own Buzz Lightyear and a Barbie. Penelope was excited for her new tub toy and straw cup.

Easter Dresses

The girls looked so cute in their Easter dresses (which are really just summer dresses...I'm not shelling out big bucks for an uncomfortable dress they will wear once). Georgia, my bohemian baby, LOVED hers and plans on wearing it again soon. P was adorable on hers though it was quite large. At least she will have plenty of time to wear it.

There were some tears shed during this photo shoot. Three is a tough age. The tears were because Miles gently reminded her not to keep licking her lips (we have been battling a bad rash on her top lip from that habit).

The Hunt

The annual Easter Egg hunt was an exciting event. Georgia has improved on her egg hunting skills since last year and she has some new competition this year, Penelope! Lil P loved finding the eggs and putting them in her basket, and then taking it out, and then putting it back in again...It was hard to convince her to keep looking.

Some more

A few more Easter pictures. This is just a sample...I took over 200 pictures that day...okay almost 400 and edited them down to 200. I'm slightly obsessed with my children.

Matchy Matchy

Georgia has decided she likes to match her sister and since I did buy one or two of the same shirts for this summer, we have that opportunity now. In honor, I tried to grab a cute picture of the two of them (although G was sunburned and P was a mess from her snack) . It was harder than originally anticipated....
