Desperate

With the continuation of sub-20 degree temperatures, snow, and general miserable weather, we have been getting creative with indoor activities. Our latest adventure was making homemade butter. Hey, it was 15 minutes of shaking and dancing that kept the kids occupied (and it is delicious on sourdough toast in the morning with a little bit of honey). This is Penelope shaking her jar to her favorite singer Lady Gaga. At the end, she is saying "Cheese" because she wants me to take her picture.

Barbies

Georgia is now obsessed with her Barbies. The good news is my little one who doesn't play well independently, is, well, now playing well independently. She loves getting them dressed and putting them in different scenarios. Often Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear get to join in. Buzz is very good at officiating weddings if you are ever in need.

Smother Mothers

The girls love their brother so much. Georgia (aka Smother Mother 1) and Penelope (aka Smother Mother 2) love to help change him, bath him, and smother him with kisses all day.

Toy Story 3

We took the girls and Anderson to see Toy Story 3 on Ice. They both loved it. Penelope was less impressed when Buzz Lightyear wasn't on the ice. Georgia loved her snow cone in a keepsake Jessie cup. After we took all the kids out to lunch in the North End where Georgia had "the best pizza ever".

Passing Time

Time is passing so quickly with three kids. Between school, ballet, swim lessons, music class, playdates, and normal life our days go by quickly. We are trying to slow down and enjoy Anderson as much as possible and make up for busy days with lots of cuddling once the big ones are in bed every night. I am also trying to enjoy my 3 months off for maternity leave...unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating with us getting outdoors! Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks!

First Days Home

Our first days home have been filled with lots of cuddling, new car shopping, a school Valentine's Day party, and visitors on top of our normal school days, dance class, swim class, and music class. Anderson has been tolerating all the excitement and chaos that is our current family life quite well. And is he sleeping well at night to boot! He is definitely a keeper!

It's a BOY!

We've added a boy to the family! Anderson was born on February 5th after an easy third delivery. Anderson arrived 2.5 weeks early but weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs. The girls are over the moon about their new brother. They love holding him and showering him with kisses. We have dubbed them the "Smother Mothers" for all their doting. We are home and doing well. He is a very calm and relaxed baby and has immersed himself easily into our family life.

Stir Crazy

All these snow days spent indoors are driving us batty. To help combat the stir crazies, Miles brought up the slide and we set it up in the living room...instant entertainment all day!

Snowmageddon

We have had way too much snow this winter. This is the snow covering our back patio fence...a normal sized picket fence. The snow in the patio is taller than Miles!
