Friday Funnies
A new weekly segment in which Mama will detail the funny shenanigans/sayings of the dear children (well, Georgia for right now).
1. When asked what her favorite food was at story hour (to add to the "Stone Soup"), Georgia responded Zebra meat. All the other kids said candy, ice cream, donuts, and broccoli.
2. Upon arriving to story hour at the book store, she asked the story weaver where she could go to have Mona Lisa sign her book. Previous to that moment there had been no mention of Mona Lisa or a book signing.
3. Georgia has added a 3rd imaginary friend to her random and slightly frightening group. So far she has Stinky the skunk, baby monster, and now a baby Snake. Baby Snake prefers to be carried in the ring sling, in case you were wondering.

One Month!
Penelope celebrated her first month yesterday! Today we had her 1 month check up with Dr. Bob. She is now 8 lb 12 oz and 21 in (up from 7 lb 9 oz and 19.5 in at birth). She started off bigger than Georgia by 8 oz but Georgia was 3 oz bigger at her 1 month exam...looks like we have another peanut on our hands!
Penelope has been spitting. A lot. As in 5-6 outfit changes a day and a few more at night. And lots of outfit changes for Mama. Lately, she has been really fussy when she spits. Nights are worse (6pm until 11pm) and consist of her screaming in pain and constantly eating/vomiting/fussing until she tires herself out. Dr. Bob sent us for a belly ultrasound to make sure Lil P doesn't have pyloric stenosis (like her Daddy, Uncle Campbell, and various 2nd cousins). Her ultrasound was perfect. Dr. Bob started her on Zantac so that she will be more comfortable. So far so good! Instead of the nightly eating/vomiting/fussing routine, she is sound asleep and happy! We will keep our fingers crossed this works.

Here Comes the Sun
Finally the sun came out! Grammie Kelsa, Auntie Em, Georgia, Penelope, and Mama headed down to the beach for some sun and sand while Daddy and Uncle Erich went fishing. Grampa Jack was stuck working on the house (that is until he cut his hand open and ended up in the ER). The beach was still windy but much more enjoyable than the day before. Georgia is taking after her mother and loves a good magazine to read on the beach!

Happy Birthday Grammie Kelsa!
Surfer Girl
Georgia loves the beach and can entertain herself there for HOURS on end. Today we went down to the water despite the cool temps and clouds. Georgia insisted on only wearing a bathing suit ("Mama, we are at the BEACH") and running in and out of the water. Now mind you, everyone else on the beach was in jackets and pants due to the 50 degree weather and the wind (hence, may stares). Not my polar bear! Later that day, the sun came out and we went back out to play. This time she kept her clothes on but didn't stay out of the water and wet sand!

Lobstah!
We headed up to Maine for Memorial Day weekend. Once we got there (after an adventurous car ride with 2 dogs, 2 kids, 2 parents, 3 days worth of clothes, fishing gear and a kayak in one car), we took Georgia and Lil P to the lobster pound. Georgia couldn't wait to see the lobsters but once the guy took one (a yummy looking jumbo lobster) out of the water, she got a bit shy. She was more interested in asking the guy what each lobsters name was and how old they were.

Stinky Baby!
Penelope has turned into a big spitter! We think that her fondness of "chugging" her feeds is contributing to her constant puking! Last night between 2-3 am (her ONLY wake up all night) we had to change her outfit 3 times due to massive pukes! Because of those pukes, she is a stinky stinky baby and is requiring frequent baths. Luckily this girl loves her baths as much as her big sister loves to help give them to her!
Um...is that a hand or more food???
A nice shampoo...
I had to include this picture since it is one of 2 or 3 of the Mama taken in the past year...being the photographer means never getting a good picture of yourself (and the crazy number of pictures taken by Miles while I was in labor do NOT count).

Summer time and the living's easy...
Warm weather is here! We have been having so much fun getting outside and running off all the pent up winter energy. We spent yesterday afternoon playing on the patio. While Georgia played in the sand, Penelope got a nice nap in outside.
The string cheese and sand did NOT mix well. Crunchy cheese...yuck!

Shower No. 2
Mama, Daddy, and us girls went to Auntie Em and Uncle Erich's wedding shower that Grampa Don and Grammie Paual threw. We had so much fun and even got to eat cake before noon! There was lots of yummy food, pretty flowers, fun family, and PRESENTS that we got to help open. Mama was most impressed that we made it out of the house before 8 am with a newborn!!!!

Oscar, Emmy, or Tony?
No, those are not the names of my babies! I am referring awards! Mama says I am quite the actress so I have been practicing my "emotions" lately. Here is a sampling or Mama and I doing faces....Penelope chose not to participate this time but, trust me, she makes a good mad face!
