Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Princess and the Frog. We had a great time trick-or-treating around our neighborhood and returning home to hand out candy. We weren't sure what Penelope would think of the whole thing but she LOVED getting the candy and saying "hi" and "bye bye" to all the people giving out treats. She didn't want to put the candy in her jack-o-lantern though! She wanted to hold it all in her hands. Georgia had fun, although some of the "spooky" houses scared her a bit. She was most excited about the balloon, bubbles, and animal crackers. Luckily P pulled through in true spirit and loved the chocolate and lollipops!

Snowball!

We have been missing having a pet around here since we lost Charlie and Gwen but with two kids, one on the way, two jobs, and Miles in school we aren't prepared to get another dog quite yet. We went to get a hamster but after observing the kids with the hamster at the MSPCA we were a bit scared for the hamsters life and well being. So we tried out a guinea pig, Snowball, who was brought to the MSPCA by a family due to allergies. Georgia and Snowball hit it off immediately and had a great time snuggling an playing. A few hours later, Snowball came home with us. So far he is adjusting well and spends lots of time being held like a baby by Georgia. He seems to love it and makes happy little grunts the whole time.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Of course we had to do something with our pumpkins.....

Pumpkin Picking

We spent the morning at Cider Hill Farms. We got there early and enjoyed some warm cider donuts and apple cider while feeding the chickens, sheep, and goats. We ran through the corn maze, took a hay ride, and picked out some pumpkins. I even think we got a great Christmas card shot (note it is not the picture below)!

Swinging

The girls had fun swinging on the neighbor's hammock. I, of course, saw this as a photo opportunity.
